Meetings are held every month on the second Tuesday of the month. The meetings take place from 6:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M.
Location: Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet, Houston, Texas 77074 in the “Annex Room”.
All SouthWest CERT Members please wear your SouthWest CERT T-Shirt to southwest cert events, either color will do. If you do not have a SouthWest CERT t-shirt you may purchase one for $10.00 each. Do not wear shorts to any volunteer event. BDU / EMS style pants and Dickie’s Pants are OK. Thank you for your cooperation.
May 2, all day. SouthWest CERT will hosting a full day event for CERT members to brush up on response skills, including fire extinguishers, medical triage, bandaging, splinting, head cravats, back boards, car extrication, different patient carry mechanisms forms. Several will be making up the missed portions of there CERT class and this opportunity will refresh everyone on a faster pace real-life scenarios.
May 3rd, First Aid Event, from 10 am – 9 pm, St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 8100 Roos Street, Houston, Texas 77036. Our 6th anniversary in helping this event to raise money for the programs for the church and school to benefit others who need assistance.
On Saturday April 4th, 2015 the Houston Police Department’s South-West Command will hold their 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt is open to the public, so bring your family and friends. There will be games, prizes, and many other fun activities. 5 CERT members are needed for standby first aid. The event takes place from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. [Location TBA]
